• Farm Large Stumps — Forest Farm and Riverland Farm spawn Large Stumps that can be chopped for 2 硬木 each (Steel Axe required). Four Corners Farm has a small hardwood quadrant.
• Large Logs — Farm randomly spawns Large Logs that require Steel+ Axe. Each gives 8 硬木 but does not respawn.
• Mines — Breaking wooden barrels and crates in the mines sometimes drops 1 硬木.

🐷 松露油
季节： 秋季 primarily — Pigs find 松露s when let outside on non-rain days. Pigs do NOT find 松露s in 冬季 (even with Heater, they stay indoors). 春季 and 夏季 also work if you have pigs.
地点： Your farm — Pigs must be let outside the barn to find 松露s. Each pig has a chance to find 1 松露 per day (multiple pigs = multiple 松露s). The truffle appears randomly on tillable ground near the pig.
Getting Pigs:
1. Build a Coop (not needed for pigs, but good for early farming)
2. Build a Barn (6,000g + 350 木头 + 150 石头 from 罗宾)
3. Upgrade to Big Barn (12,000g + 450 木头 + 200 石头) — unlocks goats

Important: 松露s are NOT found in 冬季 or on rainy days. Plan your 雨水图腾 crafting for 秋季 when pig production is highest.
技巧： Build multiple 产油机s (3-5) so you can process 松露s in bulk. One 产油机 per pig is ideal. Keep 产油机s inside a 棚屋 or barn so they work year-round.
🌲 松焦油
季节： Any — Pine Trees produce 松焦油 in all seasons
地点： Any Pine Tree on your farm or in 煤林森林. Pine Trees have a distinctive triangular needle shape and darker bark compared to Oak and Maple.
树液采集器 Recipe: Unlocked at 采集等级 3. Recipe: 40 木头 + 2 铜锭s. Place on tree, wait 5-6 in-game days, collect.
Tree Identification:
• Pine Tree — Dark green needles, rough dark bark → produces 松焦油
• Oak Tree — Round leaf canopy, smooth bark → produces 橡树树脂
• Maple Tree — Orange/yellow leaf canopy → produces Maple Syrup
Alternative Sources:
• Tiger Trout Fish Pond — At 6+ population, produces 5 松焦油 every 3-4 days
• Mines — 木头en barrels sometimes drop 松焦油
技巧： Plant a dedicated Pine Tree farm (20-30 Pine Trees in a grid) and place 树液采集器s on all of them. This gives you a steady supply of 松焦油 for 雨水图腾s, 传送图腾s, and other recipes. Pine Trees grow from Pine Cones (random drops when chopping trees or tilling soil).

Fastest Method: In 春季 第一年, pick up every single forageable you see (Salmonberry bushes on 春季 15-18 give 4 berries per bush — massive XP boost). Chop every non-fruit tree on your farm. Visit the 秘密森林 daily. By 秋季 第一年, you should be Level 7-8. Grind the remaining XP in 冬季 by chopping trees in the Railroad area and 煤林森林.
Profession at Level 5: Choose "Gatherer" (20% chance of double harvest) — this helps with resource collection for the rest of the game. At Level 10, "Botanist" makes all foraged items highest quality.
技巧： The 春季 Onion in 煤林森林 (south of the lake) respawns daily and gives +3 XP each. There are 6-8 per day — an easy 20+ XP daily just from this spot alone.
⚡ 产油机 (Prerequisite Machine)
Recipe: 50 史莱姆 + 20 硬木 + 1 金锭
季节： Any — craft as soon as you hit 耕种等级 8
地点： Craft anywhere from your inventory
史莱姆 Source: Kill 史莱姆s in the Mines (层 5-40). Each 史莱姆 drops 1-2 史莱姆. The 史莱姆屋 (purchased from 罗宾 for 10,000g + 500 石头 + 10 精炼石英 + 1 铱锭) lets you farm 史莱姆 passively. With 20 史莱姆s inside, they produce 史莱姆 Balls daily that yield 10-20 史莱姆 each.
硬木: 20 硬木 for the 产油机 — 2 days of 秘密森林 farming (12 per day).
金锭: Smelt 5 金矿石 + 1 煤炭 in a 熔炉. 金矿石 is abundant in Mines 80-120.
技巧： Build the 产油机 before you get pigs. You can also use it for Sunflower 种子s (makes cooking oil) and Corn (makes oil). Having it ready means you can process your first 松露 immediately.
4 最优收集路线
Follow this order to minimize backtracking and maximize efficiency. This route assumes a standard 第一年 playthrough.
① 春季 第一年 — Foraging Grind + Axe Upgrades
Pick up every forageable item you see. Chop every non-fruit tree on your farm (clears space + gives 木头 + Foraging XP). Upgrade your Axe to Copper (2,000g + 5 铜锭s) by 春季 10, then Steel (5,000g + 5 铁锭s) by 春季 20. The Steel Axe is required to break the Large Log blocking the 秘密森林 entrance. On 春季 15-18, shake every Salmonberry bush — each berry gives +3 Foraging XP and you'll collect 50-100 berries.
② 春季-夏季 第一年 — 秘密森林 Daily + Barn Construction
With your Steel Axe, break the Large Log blocking the 秘密森林 (northwest 煤林森林). Chop all 6 Large Stumps daily for 12 硬木. Start building your Barn (6,000g + 350 木头 + 150 石头). Upgrade to Big Barn (12,000g + 450 木头 + 200 石头), then Deluxe Barn (25,000g + 550 木头 + 300 石头). This takes 3 days per build from 罗宾. Place 树液采集器s on Pine Trees as soon as you reach 采集等级 3 (380 XP — very early). You need 1 松焦油 per 雨水图腾.
③ 秋季 第一年 — Pigs + 产油机
Buy your first Pig from 玛妮 for 16,000g (requires Deluxe Barn). Build the 产油机 (50 史莱姆 + 20 硬木 + 1 金锭 — requires 耕种等级 8). Let pigs outside every non-rain day. Collect 松露s and process them into 松露油. One 松露 in the 产油机 produces 1 松露油 in ~6 hours. By 秋季 14, you should have your first 松露油.
④ Grind Foraging to Level 9
If you haven't reached 采集等级 9 by 冬季, focus on chopping trees. The Railroad area (unlocked after Earthquake in 夏季 第一年 or via 社区中心) and 煤林森林 have dozens of trees that respawn. Each tree gives +12 XP. Chop 50 trees and you're at Level 9. Also pick up all 冬季 forageables (Crystal Fruit, Holly, Snow Yam, Crocus) for +3 XP each.
⑤ 最终组装
With all materials gathered and 采集等级 9 reached: Open crafting menu → RAIN TOTEM. The recipe produces one single-use totem. Use it strategically — it forces rain the next day, overriding the weather forecast completely.
5 ⚠ 避坑指南 — 别浪费时间
These mistakes will waste hours. Read this before you start.
Pigs will NOT produce 松露s in 冬季 (they stay indoors even with a Heater) or on rainy days (they stay inside the barn). This means you have approximately 56 usable pig days in 秋季 (秋季 has 28 days, minus ~8 rainy days = ~20 good days). With one pig, expect 15-20 松露s in 秋季. Plan accordingly — you cannot craft 雨水图腾s in 冬季 unless you stockpiled 松露油 in 秋季.
Getting pigs requires 59,000g total investment (Barn 6,000g + Big Barn 12,000g + Deluxe Barn 25,000g + Pig 16,000g). This is one of the most expensive animal progression paths in the game. Prioritize this only after you have stable crop income (小桶s with 古代水果 or 杨桃). Don't rush pigs if you're still struggling with daily farm expenses.
Many players reach 采集等级 7-8 and stagnate because they stop picking up forageables. The gap from Level 8 (4,800 XP) to Level 9 (7,000 XP) requires 2,200 additional XP — equivalent to picking up ~730 forageables OR chopping ~180 trees. Make foraging part of your daily route: check the Bus Stop, Railroad, 秘密森林, and Beach every morning.
Using a 雨水图腾 the day before a Festival (e.g., Egg Festival on 春季 13, Luau on 夏季 11) will NOT produce rain on the festival day. The game overrides the weather for festivals. Check the calendar before using your precious totem.
The Large Log blocking the 秘密森林 entrance requires a Steel Axe or better. A Copper Axe won't cut it (literally). Upgrade at 克林特's 铁匠铺 (5,000g + 5 铁锭s, takes 2 days). Without the 秘密森林, your 硬木 supply is extremely limited — you'll be stuck waiting for random farm stump spawns.
Don't sell raw 松露s! A base-quality 松露 sells for 625g, but 松露油 sells for 1,065g. With the 工匠 profession (耕种等级 10), 松露油 sells for 1,491g. Always process 松露s into Oil before selling. Only use 松露油 for crafting 雨水图腾s if you have a surplus — selling it is extremely profitable.

6 🎁 额外收益 — 顺路能拿到的好东西
While gathering 雨水图腾 materials, you'll accumulate wealth, XP, and resources that benefit your entire farm. Don't leave these on the table.
Visiting the 秘密森林 every day gives you 12 硬木, plus forageables (Morels in 春季, Fiddlehead Ferns in 夏季, Chanterelles in 秋季, Holly in 冬季). These are used in cooking recipes (Strange Bun, Fried Mushroom, Fiddlehead Risotto) and 社区中心 bundles. The 秘密森林 pond also has unique fish (木头skip, Green Algae).
Pigs are the highest-value animal in 星露谷物语. A single pig produces 松露s worth 1,491g each (as 松露油 with 工匠). With 12 pigs, that's 15,000-20,000g per day in 秋季. The 雨水图腾 is a side benefit of an already-profitable pig operation. You're building an animal empire, not just crafting a totem.
At 采集等级 10, the "Botanist" profession (if you chose Gatherer at Level 5) makes all foraged items highest quality (Iridium). This doubles the value of everything you pick up off the ground. The "Tracker" profession (if you chose Forester) shows the location of all forageables on screen — incredibly useful for completing the foraging collection.
While waiting for 松焦油, your Oak and Maple 树液采集器s are producing 橡树树脂 (needed for 小桶s — see our 小桶 guide) and Maple Syrup (needed for 蜂房s and cooking). A full tapper farm of 30+ trees generates hundreds of gold per day passively. 树液采集器s are a "set and forget" income source.
Building a Deluxe Barn doesn't just unlock pigs — it unlocks sheep and goats too. Goats produce Goat Milk (worth more than Cow Milk), and sheep produce Wool (can be processed into Cloth in a 织布机). The auto-feed system in the Deluxe Barn also saves you time every morning.
